Some pictures from the day

Family pic @ Provo temple! (minus my 2 sisters)

Having fun on temple grounds!

One last walk for 2 years.

See ya in 2!

Hey guys!

Today was the day we dropped my brother Porter, now Elder Roe, off at the MTC! It was hard, but I wouldn't have him anywhere else in the world. We went to Panda Express for our last lunch together, which is actually the same place we took my sister when we took her to the MTC! (It runs in the family)

We made it to the Provo temple with plenty of time to spare. We took some fun pictures and were able to just joke around and hang out. Finally, we decided we had better just go. We made it to the curb where we jumped out of the car and tried to balance his suitcase so it wouldn't fall over because it was so top heavy. His host asked him where he was going, and when he heard Taiwan, he got so excited and explained that he was going there too! Soon after that, one of Porter's friends saw him ran over to him. That was a blessing!

The problem with days like these is the fact that you feel like you have forever to chat and say goodbye. Then all of a sudden, you're sitting in the back of a car craning your neck to catch one last glimpse of one of your best friends. However, the bright side is: I get to choose whatever side I want to sit in the car! :)

I know I'm going to miss my brother an extraordinary amount. I still miss my sister everyday. However, the time that we are apart is miniscule to the eternity that we will have together. I love the Lord, and have faith in his plan. I hope everyone has a great day!

About my life

Hey guys!

So this is my first post in this blog. If you didn't realize already, I'm LDS. (hence the Mormon part of the title..) A little bit about myself: I'm 15 years old, turning 16 in September! I'm the youngest of 4 kids in my family, which is pretty great. My brother is about to enter the MTC on Wednesday, where he will be for 9 weeks. Then he will fly to Taipei, Taiwan, where he will be serving for 2 years! My sister is currently serving a LDS mission also, in Norway. She gets home in October! Her mission blog is on my dashboard, it's called "A Narrative From Norway." So go check it out! We basically just take the emails & pics that she sends home each week and upload them onto here! My brother's blog is called "Testifying in Taiwan." We'll be doing the same thing on there, and we will be putting stuff up on there pretty soon! It isn't on my dashboard though...sorry to make things so difficult. ;)

My oldest sister is going to be having a baby boy in October! It's the first grandkid in the family, so as you can guess everyone is super excited! It will be the most spoiled little boy in the entire world!

So basically, my life is pretty exciting right now. Lot's of things are happening, and I'm blessed enough to be right in the middle of it. Everything is going right, and I wish that would never change! However, that can change in an instant, as I'm sure everybody knows. But I'm thankful for this gospel to lean on and find comfort in. I don't know what I would do without it! There are times where I'm uncertain, or where I see people who hate it. That can shake my testimony, but at the end of the day, I know where my heart and soul is: in the gospel. Hopefully I'll be able to record some experiences here as I grow and learn! Wish me luck!
