Hey guys!
Today was the day we dropped my brother Porter, now Elder Roe, off at the MTC! It was hard, but I wouldn't have him anywhere else in the world. We went to Panda Express for our last lunch together, which is actually the same place we took my sister when we took her to the MTC! (It runs in the family)
We made it to the Provo temple with plenty of time to spare. We took some fun pictures and were able to just joke around and hang out. Finally, we decided we had better just go. We made it to the curb where we jumped out of the car and tried to balance his suitcase so it wouldn't fall over because it was so top heavy. His host asked him where he was going, and when he heard Taiwan, he got so excited and explained that he was going there too! Soon after that, one of Porter's friends saw him ran over to him. That was a blessing!
The problem with days like these is the fact that you feel like you have forever to chat and say goodbye. Then all of a sudden, you're sitting in the back of a car craning your neck to catch one last glimpse of one of your best friends. However, the bright side is: I get to choose whatever side I want to sit in the car! :)
I know I'm going to miss my brother an extraordinary amount. I still miss my sister everyday. However, the time that we are apart is miniscule to the eternity that we will have together. I love the Lord, and have faith in his plan. I hope everyone has a great day!
